Gain the essential teaching skills needed to plan, deliver and assess engaging learning experiences.
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), formerly known as PTLLS, is an introductory teaching qualification designed for individuals who wish to teach or train in the post-16 education sector. Suitable for aspiring trainers, lecturers, and workplace educators, the course provides the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to deliver effective learning experiences in both private training organisations and further education settings.
Through a combination of taught sessions, lesson planning, group discussions, micro-teaching practice, and independent study, learners develop an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher, inclusive learning environments, session planning, and assessment methods.
Upon completion, learners gain a nationally recognised qualification and can progress to higher-level teaching qualifications such as the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training or the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
