This RED CSCS CARD is valid for three years after it is issued is broken up into:RED CARD–Trainee (Craft and Operative) must

• Be registered for an N/SVQ but have not yet achieved it.
• Have a current CSCS Health, Safety and Environment qualification

Red Card – Trainee (The technical, Supervisory and Management

• Registered in a higher education college or university for a nationally recognised construction related qualification.
• Pass Health, Safety and Environment test.

Red Card – Graduate (The technical, Supervisory and Management)

• • Registered in a higher education college or university for a nationally recognised construction related qualification.
  • Have completed a managerial and professional Health, Safety and Environment Test.

Red Card – (Experienced technician, Supervisor or Manager)

• • Supervisors and managers with a job experience,
  • missed the industry accreditation opportunity and do not hold NVQ or SVQ at level 3, 4 or 5

This card is valid for five years and you need to have either:

• Passed the Level One Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.
• Hold a valid Site Safety Plus Health and Safety Awareness Course certificate.

All applicants must also pass the Operatives CITB Health Safety & Environment test.

This card is valid for five years and all applicants must pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test as well as having:

• Achieved a Construction Related NVQ or SVQ level 2 or
• Completed an employer sponsored apprenticeship which included the achievement of a City and Guilds of London Institute Craft Certificate.BLUE CARD – CRAFT UNIT LEVELThis card is for occupations where a full Construction Related NVQ or SVQ does not exist, but you have passed trade specific units.

This card is valid for five years and all applicants must pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test.  This card is available for skilled workers that have:

• achieved a Construction Related NVQ or SVQ level 3 or
• completed an approved indentured apprenticeship (e.g.with NJCBI, BATJIC etc.) or
• completed an employer sponsored apprenticeship which included the achievement of a City and Guilds of London Institute Advanced Craft Certificate.

This card is valid for five years and all applicants must pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test.  This card is available for manager occupations subject to:

• achievement of a Construction related NVQ/SVQ levels 4, 5, (or Construction related QCF Level 6 or 7) in the relevant occupation
• This card is valid for five years

This card is available to people working in construction related occupations not covered by the other card categories.

• This card is valid for five years.
• All applicants must pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test.

This card is available to people who have completed certain construction related degrees, HND’s, HNC’s, CIOB Certificates and NEBOSH diplomas.

• This card is valid for five years.
• All applicants must pass the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety and Environment Test.

This card is available to competence assessed members of CSCS approved Professional Bodies

• This card is valid for five years and all applicants must pass the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety and Environment Test.
