Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)
This qualification is aimed at learners aged 16+, working within Health and Social Care. It confirms competence for roles such as:
• Senior care assistant and support worker in residential settings, domiciliary services, or day services
• Senior healthcare assistant and support worker in community and primary care environments
• Senior support worker in supported living projects
• Community-based care assistant/ support worker/key worker, including in specialist areas, e.g.
• Dementia, learning disabilities.
It also forms the competence element of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care. Learners must achieve a minimum of 58 credits, made up of:
• All mandatory units, totalling 28 credits
• A minimum of 30 credits from the optional unit groups.

The qualification requires from 315-447 guided learning hours.
How is the qualification assessed?
Through a portfolio of evidence which is put together during the course and demonstrates the learner has met the required assessment criteria.
